By analyzing the backscatter intensity and depolarization characteristics of the received depolarized signal at 532 nm, the system can determine the properties of atmospheric particles, identify non-spherical dust storm particles, and obtain horizontal or vertical concentration profiles of aerosol particles, extinction coefficients, depolarization ratios, boundary layer heights, aerosol optical thickness, cloud information, and more.
